Ičići is a good starting point for a visit to the island of Cres. We came by car and the steep road down to the town already is the first exciting experience. Parking was quite affordable and cost 60 Kuna for a day. The marina was a 200 meters walk away.
The only little drawback was that there is no gas station to refill the boat, so one has to go to Opatja, which is 3.7 kilometers away.

Beautiful town, magnificent view from the mountains, friendly people, great location. I would recommend this town for everyone who’s looking for a nice location to spend a holiday. Compared to another countrys Croatia is quite cheap. Opatija is located very close to Italy and Slovenia so we had a possibility to visit those countries also.

We have visited Rijeka and Opatija, also an anchorage near Opatija perfect for little break. Rijeka is good area for sailing specially beacuse bay is sheltered by islands but still catches some wind for nice sailing. There are bunch of small bays to anchore and you always have a choice for different route like Krk, Cres, Opatija.

Beautiful island surrounded by mountainous islands and crystal clear water. A perfect place to start a boat tour. We got to see 9 eagles on a neighboring island and the views were unmatched. We have been to Zadar/Zagreb area but this island was way more picturesque. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and family
