Unfortunately Jozo was not our captain as he was busy! He had a replacement captain who was nice! However did always try to take us to very expensive restaurants and had to be firm with him regarding our budget! Overall a positive experience with the owners but in remote places it can be very expensive so be prepared or make sure you have a clear plan of where you want to go!
We had an amazing trip with Jozo. He is an excellent skipper and very pleasant to have around. He is very knowledgeable of the surroundings and finds the perfect stops along the way. He helps with fun things for the kids like fishing, Zup board and a small jolly. The whole family really liked the trip and Jozo and would highly recommend to go on a trip with him.
We recently spent 4 nights on the yacht Malvazija, and Jozo, the owner and skipper, made our trip unforgettable. My family of four, including our two boys aged 11 and 9, felt right at home with Jozo. He patiently taught them how to fish and steer the boat, making the experience both educational and fun. Jozo’s local knowledge was invaluable, guiding us to the best bays for swimming, snorkelling, enjoying delicious seafood and a local winery. He was considerate of our preferences and budget, recommending great places to eat and even taking us grocery shopping to prepare traditional Croatian dishes. Jozo is very kind, patient, and speaks excellent English, making communication easy. The Malvazija, while not a modern yacht, has a rustic charm that adds to the experience. We highly recommend Jozo for anyone looking to explore the local areas near Dubrovnik by sea.
20/10 We recently had the pleasure of embarking on a boat charter with Jozo, and it was an unforgettable seafaring adventure. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Jozo, is not only professional and skilled, but also incredibly friendly and attentive. He made us feel welcome and ensured our safety throughout the journey. Their knowledge of the local waters, people and points of interest added an educational element to the trip. We enjoyed fresh squid and oysters every day, which was a highlight. The boat itself was well-maintained, clean, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable voyage. The spacious deck area provided ample room for relaxation, sunbathing, and enjoying the breathtaking views of the ocean and coastline. Jozo respectfully tailored our itinerary, too maximise our experience. This level of personalized service ensured that our group's unique preferences and interests were accommodated, making the trip truly one-of-a-kind. We enjoyed many mesmerizing swimming beaches and sunsets. Thank you Jozo, you wonderful salty seadog From Adam, Claudia, Jon, Maddi, Ryan, Madalyn, Giles and Jemma
We had a wonderful trip with Jozo and his boat and really enjoyed the week we stayed on it. Jozo is a very friendly man with eager to show and share the best of the Croatian coastline with us. Even though we were unexperienced with sailing and brought with us teenagers Joso was super patient and a true pedagogue. We will strongly recommend others to travel with Jozo and his boat.
We only had a few days to spend and really wanted to be on a sailboat. Thankfully Jozo accepted our request and we had a great time with him as our skipper. He is very knowledgeable in everything Croatia and especially Dubrovnik and the nearby islands. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and that we would have a great time despite some heavy rains on one of our days. Jozo is a delight and I recommend a trip on his sailboat, the Malvazija, anytime you’re in Croatia!
We had an awesome time with Jozo! beautiful places and great local company and advices.
Jozo was a perfect skipper, very friendly and discreet. Also very helpful: he agreed to move the booking because rain was forecast on the day of departure. He took us to very beautiful places, giving us time to relax and take fantastic baths. The boat was well maintained and clean. When we return to Croatia we will definitely call him! Mauro
Jozo is welcoming and caring. Listening to desires and expectations, he knows his navigation area perfectly, he took us to places that suited us. Clear, fishy areas, confidential beaches (mid-June).
Positive - Jozo picked us up by car at the agreed location in Dubrovnik - Jozo is very straightforward - The boat was very clean and tidy - Beds were made - Jozo speaks good English Negative - seamanship - Communication On the second day, Jozo confronted us with the fact that he had a private appointment on the return date and therefore had to return earlier. But our objections were not heard and we spent the last night in his uncomfortable harbor area on a street. Jozo then left the ship the following morning at around 7:30 a.m. without saying goodbye so that he could attend his appointment. We then organized a transfer ourselves for 1000 o'clock on the day of delivery and left the ship without seeing Jozo again or hearing anything from him. Conclusion Although the trip with Jozo was generally nice and relaxing, the lack of communication left a bad aftertaste.
Not bad for the price
We had a great family time on Jozo's boat and with Jozo! Thanks to him for making us discover the boat and the region of Mjet. Jozo is attentive to safety and listens to our wishes and those of the children. Only one regret: that there was not a little more wind to allow us to enjoy the boat 100%. But these are the vagaries of sailing!! Thank you Jozo for this great discovery of the boat with the family. We would have liked this trip to last more than 4 days!
Joso will be the perfect skipper for your vacation! He knows his job and his country perfectly! We had a wonderful family holiday, we discovered wonderful places. Joso is very attentive, he takes care of everything, the children and ourselves have been in paradise and we have had a royal vacation. In addition, it solves the slightest problem if you have one ? Thanks for all JOSO , it was perfect!
It's a bit late but good things have to be said, I can only say one thing here, they were super great people who were only there for me and my staff and I think so, they did much more for me and my staff than just a boat for rent i can't say thank you enough Thank you thank you Jozo Cheers Osman
