Are you looking for a private captain that will show you the best spots on lake Thun, Interlaken on a luxurious and comfortable 12 seater pontoon boat? Cost for 1 hour: 699 CHF Cost for 2 hours: 1399 CHF Cost for 3 hours/half a day: 1899 CHF Cost for 4 hours: 2499 CHF Cost for 5 hours: 2999 CHF Cost for 6 hours/full day: 3599 CHF Rentals start around 9 or 10am and finish before 18.00 Prices include fuel, boat rental and private captain. To have a good overview on the lake you would need 3 to 4 hours at least depending on weather conditions). Our rental usually start from Merligen which is about 15 minutes drive from Interlaken or 20min drive from Thun. Luzern / Zurich are about 2 hours drive away by car. Depending on your wishes, I could show you are centuries old castles, remote waterfalls, mountain vineyards, 4000m mountain peaks(13000ft), national reserves, traditional villages, magical sunsets, places to swim, places to eat, to drink etc... I really have to thank Captain Chris for being so flexible and responsive to arrange our boat trip within 24 hours. The lake is stunning with a beautiful waterfall, some castles and mountains everywhere. The boat is spacious and has perfect safety features for families with children and kids.It was definitely a highlight of our trip to Europe.
If you're planning to explore the Lake of Thun, I highly recommend choosing Chris as your guide. Unlike the crowded ferry boats, Chris offers a more intimate and personalized experience. The lake itself is stunning, surrounded by breathtaking castles, cascading waterfalls, and lush vineyards. Communicating with Chris was a breeze, and his boat is both comfortable and spacious, making it an ideal setting for our anniversary celebration.
The experience from the start till the end was phenomenal! Christian is such a nice, down to earth guy, very pleasant in answering all questions and going the extra mile to make sure everyone has a nice time On top of that, the boat is very comfortable and his tour of the lake was extraordinary. Would recommend for everyone to experience Lake Thun on Christian's boat!
I really enjoyed having Christian as our captain. He was knowledgable and aware of the lake we traveled on. His boat was clean, he offered blankets for the ladies. We asked for just a chill day on the water and that is what we got. Would recommend Christian to the next visitor without hesitation.
Christian was a super pilot for my swim from Neuhaus to Thun. Christian provide safety boat for me and was great in leading the way and pointing out hazards in the water. I really recommend Christian to any swimmers considering swimmers the Thunersee. The water is great and the backdrop in every direction amazing. Thanks Christian. I’ll be back!
Cristian was great! Patiently explained every detail from the lake and personalized our experience asking what were we into. The boat is new and I would reccomend this to anyone. I am sure that you will get what I am saying once you swim in that blue water while stared by the snowy alps.

Native French speaker (Belgian from Brussels) who speaks German and English, I am passionate about outdoor activities, the mountains and the sea. I moved out from Belgium a handful of years ago to Switzerland to follow an old dream which was to live in the mountain (currently based in Wengen) and to snowboard/ski as much as I wanted. I am the owner of Swiss category A license an am planning to do my sailing license in 2021. I purchased my first boat in 2019 and am proud to have it docked at very picturesque marina in Neuhaus Zum See, Intelaken, Switzerland.
