Yacht charter in Kefalonia · Poseidon — 470t (2021)

This is our first time driving a boat. Pantazis and his team were nice. They gave us clear instructions on how to use the boat, how to use the anchor and went with us for a test drive to see how we parked, drove and used the anchor. Pantazis gave us a headsup about weather conditions and could indicate if a place was reachable within our time slot. The boat was clean. Water was provided. We went up to sikidi beach and back. As this is our first time, we were pleasantly suprised at how fast this boat can go. In total we consumed half a tank which cost us 30 euro. When returning to the harbour, pantazis and his team noticed us quickly and swiftly aided us in our arrival. Overall a very nice experience!

I found Pantazis company professional in demeanor and communication. I had a voucher from click n boat from a previous spend which was refunded as a credit from a trip which did not go ahead. Pantazis was nice and I thought professional . I was not so impressed with the boat as it seemed to be restricted which I did not think helped with progress on the water and I did not think it was efficient with its fuel consumption. It may be there were more suitable boats in his fleet but these had been saved for family allocation. I found having been captain of similar boats for the same price as recently as yesterday, a better performance and far better fuel efficiency is available. The boat laboured accross the water and I found my partner had to sit right on the bow or no progress at all was made and the engine could not cope . I know that having been in boats of the same bhp that this must be a maintenance issue or a issue with having had the engine meddled with by the supplier , but to much in this case . Safety is important but if a couple cannot make suitable or exciting progress and for a reasonable fuel price then possibly the rental is not suitable . We were asked to attend early , we did we were given good guidance and we were given a clean boat , water was provided but unfortunately only a few ice cubes from a bag which were not sufficient to keep our food and drinks cold for the day .had I not had some excellent boat rentals to compare this to of late I may have been more impressed . Overall for a complete beginner this boat would have been okay ,but I found it a bit of a waste of money having driven more superior versions lately and having told the business owner I had some experience too and he did say the boat was slow but unfortunately no other options where given . Overall I thought the buisness honest and the service good although we were charged for a full tank of fuel and one could have argued there was still a quarter left in the tank !
