Despite a technical problem with the engine at the start, we were able to sail peacefully for the rest of the weekend. David and Bernard, available, organized the repair of the engine so that we could sail. I recommend Callie

Very pleasant boat to sail, good fittings. We reported some technical issues in the logbook. The sheets and towels are really at the end of their life, it's a shame for this type of service, as is the cockpit table. The person who welcomed and checked us out, very nice and attentive. We spent a wonderful week on Callie, great weather conditions and the boat works very well (thanks, among other things, to the almost new sails). Île de Ré, Oléron, Aix, etc. But the reception on the boat was a bit disastrous. The owner was not there, so another person received us. Unfortunately, he didn't know enough about the boat and doesn't sail himself, so he couldn't answer our questions. He had to make telephone calls to operate the guide, the toilets and the depth gauge. The autopilot had just broken down a few days before (impossible to repair), no anemometer at the masthead and the weather vane was broken (the V is 45°) and the depth gauge sometimes loosens a little. After the stressful and tense arrival, we were really able to enjoy it. Being in the old port is really great.

Boat as advertised and ideally located (old port!). The boat is very well equipped (including sheets and towels), and well maintained (almost new mainsail). Remember to take your binoculars, there are none on board.

Nice weekend aboard Callie with perfect communication and welcome with David and Clément when getting started. The boat is well equipped, although the walk is well balanced under sail. Impeccable engine operation. As for the sails, the genoa has a nice surface and on a furler that works perfectly fine) is a bit tired, a good mainsail and even a symmetrical spinnaker (which we couldn't test for lack of adequate wind).

Very comfortable for 4 adults. Good wind in the area, bright sunshine, passage of the Ile de Ré bridge under sail, a great first and a great memory aboard Callie.

Welcome by Clément very cordial and very punctual. Very available and attentive to our requests for access to the boat and car parking. Sailboat very well maintained, pleasant and safe in navigation. Sails in very good condition. Small occasional problem with the windlass, but which did not bother us for the anchorages (moorings on dead bodies available in this season!). Navigation instruments (speedometer and anemometer) to be reviewed for further navigation. We were very satisfied with our weekend on this SO34.2.

Great week during the winter aboard Callie. You can feel that the boat is sailing, both in terms of the equipment and the layout and maintenance. It is safe and easy to handle. It is possible to sleep 7 if the person in the square is small and tolerant on comfort. Great welcome from Clément, David's friend who is accommodating and friendly.

We had a great weekend on David's sailboat. Boat that sails well at good speed and is well equipped with 3 cabins. The only downside is the absence of an autopilot (but as advertised) and a few maintenance points to be done (electronic weather vane, companionway hood, etc.). Nothing serious. I highly recommend !

Callie is a good boat on which we enjoy sailing. David was available before booking and his friend Clément during the rental week (thanks for the little welcome bottle!). The handling of the boat was minimalist because David could not be present on D-Day. If this happens again, it may be a bit light for a first boat handling by a beginner skipper. On the equipment side, the boat is supplied with furling genoa, symmetrical spinnaker (not tested), mainsail (3 reefs), an inflatable dinghy (not tested), an awning (well appreciated on hot days!), a removable tablet with navionics , a well-stocked set of coastal pilot paper charts of the area, the necessary for life on board (salt, pepper, coffee, sheets, pillows, toilet paper, etc.) which makes its use very pleasant! On the maintenance side, a few small points deserve verification: the speed displayed by the Speedo is wrong & the sounder bugs during shallow passages. However, thanks to Callie, we had a great week. I recommend this boat.

A host who cares about his tenants. Available and helpful. We loved being able to stay on the old port of La Rochelle. The boat performs well. The equipment is minimalist but we lack nothing. A repeat without hesitation.

We had a lovely weekend of November 11. Clément's welcome was very friendly and Bernard listened to minor electrical problems (not serious). The outrigger downhaul lanyard dropped us, luckily on the last day. No condensation in the cabins, which is appreciable in this season and especially the complete bedding, sheet, duvet etc, extremely rare service in rental

This is the 2nd time that I have rented Callie for a 3-day weekend: still as satisfied with my choice. Be careful to watch the tides if you want to take advantage of the ports in the area. The boat is well equipped and very functional. The Navionics tablet could probably be reinforced/waterproof and placed closer to the helm? Thanks again to David and his team, I recommend!

The boat is compliant. The sheets and the halyards deserve to be changed, the genoa furler is very hard. The spinnaker pole downhaul lanyard dropped under sail under spinnaker. Electrical problem for the tablet power supply in nav. Otherwise all good. Reliable engine, perfect windlass. Towels and bed linens were really appreciated. A contact with Bernard and Clement top (except small failure at the start but completely repaired). Great availability and immediate responses Thank you. We took full advantage of the navigation. The presence of the spinnaker was really very significant (nice nav Yeu -- Re under spinnaker despite the faulty spinnaker pole). Once these small modifications have been made, we leave as soon as possible with this boat. I don't think the boat accommodates 8 people. 6 large max (3 couples). Auto bras for all passengers would be great (6/8 cars > 4 cars + 4 old school).

Thanks to David and all his friendly, responsive and punctual team. We spent 3 excellent days of navigation in the pertuis. The boat is clean and well equipped and is located in the old port which is a plus for visits (a little more complicated to park, however). I recommend with eyes closed. We will come back because the body of water is well worth several stays!

The boat had some maintenance issues, however David made a commercial gesture and kept me informed of the repairs!

Very nice home. You can feel the friendly and passionate owners of the sea. We are very satisfied with our stay. To improve: renovation of some coatings in the cabins and in particular the separation of the engine and captain's cabin to avoid the smell of fuel.

CALLIE is an efficient and safe boat, the only thing missing is an autopilot, occasionally useful when two people are sailing. Very responsive and very friendly "owner" contacts, very flexible appointment logistics, thank you, it was perfect, we will come back.
