Good boat for a nice trip

Had very nice days on Rob's boat. Good contact with the owner, boat works properly. The plotter stopped working, but was still able to navigate properly with an online map. Very nice that the basics are present on the boat, e.g. toilet paper, cleaning products, oil, coffee, pepper, salt. Definitely recommended!

De Raas is a very well-maintained ship, with every comfort on board. Autopilot, and digital maps + GPS make sailing very relaxed. All smaller items (coffee, hand soap, washing up liquid, tea towel) have also been thought of. Rob was always available for questions or advice. We had wonderful days on the Haringvliet. The beds are comfortable. They are high and we found that exciting for the small children. For our youngest we put a mattress on the floor in the rear cage and it fit well.

We spent 3 days with the Raas on the Haringvliet: good sailing, overnight in Stellendam and Hellevoetsluis, afternoon in Middelharnis. The boat fully met our expectations + had brand new sails and a good engine. We were four adults and had plenty of room. It was not possible to go to Volkerak, the boat was too high and the Haringvliet Bridge only opens once a week. But Haringvliet had enough to offer for 3 days, and even longer. Rob received us very well, explained everything and was available in case it would have been necessary. We were lucky with good weather, but Haringvliet was still quiet compared to Grevelingen, for example.

Had a great week with the RAAS from Rotterdam. Nice sailing on the salt water in Zeeland. Solid steel ship that keeps course when the wind picks up a bit! That is pleasant and gives a safer feeling than, for example, a polyester 30-footer. It is good to make agreements with Rob.

Rob is a very friendly and calm man. when going over the boat and its functionality, he noted dryly that the anemometer was not working. I found that annoying because we had a lot of rain and strong winds during our sailing trip. If you always have to look up to see where the wind comes from, for example when you want to hoist the sail and it is raining buckets of water, then that is anything but pleasant.

Raas is not only a beautiful ship, but also sails great, she lies like a house on the water. Rob, the owner is ready with advice and assistance.

The owner immediately and ambitiously solved an emerging problem with the headsail.

We had a few fantastic days on the boat. If you know how to sail, it is a wonderful ship. The only thing missing is a shower on board, but you don't need that in good weather. And otherwise you shower in the harbor. Communication with Rob is very smooth and easy. Mutual trust is there from the beginning.
