Blue Titan Active Sailing Do you want to gain a new experience as a sailor? Are you looking for a different sailing experience than the average 42 or 48 foot ship? Then this is probably for you!! The sailing yacht Blue Titan is a fast, sporty motor sailer, 27m long (88 feet). A lot of wood in the interior makes the boat very charming and special, and a beautiful superstructure ensures a pleasant sailing experience, even in colder weather. Sea sailing can be done with 20 or 30 knots of wind, where the smaller boats become very uncomfortable, or even dangerous. The ship has a mainsail, three rigged genoa's, and a 400m² gennaker that still guarantees fast sailing in less wind. Cruising speed on motor or bottomsail is 6 to 7 knots, but if the wind cooperates, speeds of up to 12 knots are possible: a special experience with a boat of almost 100 tons. The retractable keel allows for a draft of only 2.5 meters, allowing anchoring in small, shallow bays. The experienced and sympathetic captain Jeff Doolan leads the ship perfectly, but seeks help from the passengers : so some sailing experience is welcome! The ship also has all the comforts: two engines for safety, sufficient power with two generators, a water maker, large refrigerators for fresh food on the way, diving equipment, two sups, a dinghy (50 hp) to go ashore, and for water skiing,…. In terms of safety, the ship is of course completely compliant: in itself it is already a very safe construction, including a reinforced bow to soften the impact of debris, ice, containers, ….., but all safety provisions have been correctly followed, and two rescue sloops for 6 people are present. A steward(ess) ensures that your beds are neatly made in the morning, that a tasty breakfast is ready, that you can always choose to have lunch or dinner on board. You can also rely on him/her to arrange excursions or restaurants, taxis, rental cars, ….. You sleep in 3 cabins: the spacious master cabin has a spacious double bed (and a side berth) , and the two other cabins have three separate beds. Of course, each cabin has a separate automatic toilet and shower. The ship is therefore extremely spacious and suitable for three couples, but if you want to make do with less comfort, it can easily sleep up to 10 people.
