Yacht charter in Tivat · Elan — Elan 40 (2003)

I made a booking several months prior to the reservation date. While asking questions about pick-up location, time, etc. I was told to check back in a few days prior to the reservation date. When I then reached out to Наталья the listing had been removed and I could not contact her via the website, direct email, WhatsApp, or by phone call. I thought I had been scammed, but searched for other listings by Наталья and eventually found another of her listings and submitted a quote reminding her of my reservation for the next day. She responded and let me know I could not have the boat I reserved due to maintenance, but could rent a different boat a day later. We eventually agreed and upon showing up arrived at a boat very different than the photos in her profile. The boat pilot was nice enough and we made the best of our day, however the boat is very slow and very old. The whole experience was confusing, irritating, and an overall let down. I would not recommend.

Great trip which we enjoyed and saw some beautiful scenery. But asked to be taken to the blue cave and were taken to a different cave, and nothing was really offered on board in terms of drinks or suggestions on where to go which was a shame.

Ivan our captain and Alina were phenomenal. Very amiable, accommodating, fantastic travel companions and genuinely kind people. Really enjoyed spending two days with them. The only downside is about the boat itself. Although Ivan did everything to make our trip as perfect as possible and to minimize the difficulties, the reality is that it is no longer a state of the art boat. The fridge wasn't really working, so don't bring perishables as they won't keep. Some of the mechanics needed maintenance (had issues raising the anchor for example) that would have facilitated the captain's life. So 5* for the crew and 3.5* for the boat. Note that these concerns wouldn't really affect travellers that charter the boat for a trip without overnight. But in any case, we still recommend them, as in the end, everything turned out well and we had a relaxing time. Again, warm thanks to Ivan and Alina for making the 2 days a highlight of our trip.

Our Captain, Vladimir was fantastic - he tried very hard to please and he was very hard working and always trying to accomodate our needs - he was a 5/5! There were several items on the boat that just needed more thought and maintenance . The tender/dingy broke down very early in the trip, it was fixed but it really was too small for the number of people on board. We often did trips back and forward into port and even going one person at a time we were often very wet. One of the stove plates didn’t work and the oven didn’t work. Alexandr was kind enough to do some food shopping for us but there wasn’t a pot large enough to cook the pasta or the potatoes. Seven people on board and only 5 forks - these are little things but they all make a difference. Not enough sheets for all people on board, again just a little bit more effort - all of these things can be solved. Alexandr helped us store our luggage during the trip - we were appreciative of this.

On arrival for departure, we were provided with a different yacht than reserved, but this was an upgrade in terms of size, so was not an issue. The yacht and captain were ideal for our purposes. The captain (Aleksandr) was very welcoming and knowledgeable. He was friendly charming and informative, despite a few language barriers which were easily resolved. We would heartily recommend him. Only complaint was, that despite being listed in the facilities, towels and toiletries were not provided. We had brought our own so was not an issue for us, but others may not do so. All in all yacht, captain and, of course, the scenery were excellent. We even saw dolphins...brilliant.

What an amazing day on the water. It was the highlight of our trip. Our captain and crew were very helpful.
