Most people rent the boat for 3 hours: that’s enough for a full tour of the canals. Prices (I will adjust upon reservation): 2 hours: €67 3 hours: €84 4 hours: €98 5 hours: €110 6 hours: €120 8-14 hours (whole day): €150 (battery change needed: 5-8 hours sailing time per battery) Upon arrival, I will be at the boat location with a clean boat, a full battery, and a boat ready to depart. THE BOAT The location is ideal: the boat is situated on the west side of the Vaartsche Rijn, near Jutfaseweg 30, close to Café 'Ons Honk' and 'Cobus'. It's just a 5-minute ride to the canals. A round trip of the canals/singels takes about 1 hour and 40 to 50 minutes, so 2 hours is plenty of time. A trip to Amelisweerd takes 3-4 hours round trip. On Sundays, parking is free, and there is a safe place to secure your bicycles just 20 meters away. Additionally, there's an Albert Heijn supermarket on Vondellaan and a Domino's on Rijnlaan, both within a 100-meter walk from the boat, in case you want to bring food or drinks. The boat is super quiet (electric) and comfortable thanks to the cushions, making it ideal for 4-10 people. Each bench can easily seat 5 people. While 11 or 12 people can fit as well, it will be a bit cramped. This is fine for students on a budget, but for those who need back support, a larger boat is recommended. The 24V Minn Kota whisper motor with 85 lbs of thrust provides a maximum speed of 5 km/h. It’s not super fast, but it is safe and not annoyingly slow. Routes A round trip of the singels/canals takes about 2 hours. Mooring is possible in many places except the Oudegracht, thanks to the ropes and pin (e.g., Lepelenburg, De Munt, Op Zuid, Weerdsluis). To Amelisweerd (Pancake House) takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes one way (2 hours and 40 minutes round trip). If you want to picnic there, 4 or 5 hours is recommended. To De Munt and back takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. To Op Zuid / Triton / Orca takes about 15-20 minutes. Feel free to send a message if you have any questions or are interested.
