Lovely little town with nice restaurants and small local
Shops. Quite quiet but the port gives it life. Evening street entertainment is usual in August. And the market is well known.

The Maddalena Islands are the perfect area, close to the coast to cruise around for a morning or full day. The turquoise seas are beautiful.

Cala di volpe is amazing. La Magdalena and Santa Maria Island are among my favorite places in the world.
Strongly suggest to have a boat to cruise around as you have so many gorgeous places which are only accessible by sea. Cost Esmeralda is a pretious place and must be visited.

Cannigione is the ideal starting point to explore the Maddalena Archipelago islands. You can start with Isola Caprera making a full circle and depending on wind direction making use of the numerous beautiful coves in the sheltered channel between Maddalena and Caprera. Then loop NW around towards Budella and Santa Maria. Easy and conveient gas on re-entry to the port.

My wife and I took this boat for a day trip through La Maddalena islands. We had an absolutely incredible time. We stopped at 4 different beaches and were able to swim, snorkel, paddleboard, and use the dinghy to explore the shallow waters of La Maddalena. The boat is very comfortable and well equipped. Our crew was lovely.

Absolutely lovely day with a great boat driver. Andrea was thoughtful, kind, informative and obviously wants his passengers to have a great time whilst on his trip. We saw a beautiful side of Sardinia and Magdelena islands. We would highly recommend this tour and boat. It has two engines and really gets about quickly and manoeuvres well. Plus if an engine fails you know theres a spare!
