My wife, young daughters and i toured much of Puglia starting in Cisternino area then down to Ugento. Castello di Ugento's loving renovation is wonderful to see (inside and out) and the food terrific. The rooms, level of service and amentities do NOT justify the cost though as there are many other charming and well-appointed masserias and other lodging options.

We had the most amazing day exploring grottos on the Adriatic and Ionian seas. Our communication with Donato was effortless and I couldn’t have asked for more. We had a great skipper who showed us areas we wouldn’t have found on our own and enthusiastically went swimming with us. Every comfort was provided and we had a lovely snack of fruit, homemade focaccia and sparkling wine as an aperitif. I would recommend Donato’s boat and will absolutely take another trip with him the next time we are in Puglia. 👍🏻
