We stayed on the Amalfi coast since it was out first time in the region but after experiencing the city of Sorrento we will be booking our next stay here. Beautiful city and a short scenic drive to Positano/Amalfi/Naples, etc.

Sorrento orange town buses run by EAV have a couple of town routes that terminate at the port, descending from the town above at about 20 minute frequencies. From Piazza Tasso, for tourists the central point of Sorrento town on top of the cliffs. It's a pleasant enough 10-minute stroll down past the tourist office to the port below, but a bit of a grind walking up. There is also a lift.
At the port there is an area where all the ferry companies have their ticket offices, all side by side in a purpose-built building. All will have their routes and schedules prominently displayed. There are of course agents around the town that may steer you towards one particular operator.

sorrento is a great location from where you can depart and enjoy the view of the all amalfi coast , I would highly reccomend to visti this part of italy as well as the whole bay of naples with the majestic view of the mt vesuvius in the background overlooking you.

Capri island is amazing! As well as Amalfi coast, Positano was very busy but worth to go to. Wherever you go around the coast line you will be amazed as the scenery is breathtaking. I would recommend to everyone to get on the boat and see this places from water.

Nice views and shopping! Beautiful country with very nice people! Recommend it a lot, restaurants are extremely clean and yummy easy to go to all the countries around like positano and capri and has easy access to the beach. Sorrento is a very beautiful city with many sight seeing and history

Nice city close to the Amalfitan cost. We enjoyed our time. We did not visit much of Sorrento since we had a tight schedule.

Zoe, Dan and their 3 sons spent a day on boat with us, they have been lovely and polite, we spent a very unique day sailing along Sorrento Coast and Capri island, hope to see them again next year, so we will go and visit the Blue Grotto, we missed it due to sea conditions. Very pleased with the company and the boat! We had to change our day due to weather and even still we had a cold ride with some rain, but nothing anyone could control. Would definitely ride again! Nothing beats driving your own boat to and around the island of Capri with a side view of Mt. Vesuvius. Italy bucket list item for sure!

The boat was great. Simple to operate. Everything worked. Service was great, great at explaining everything to do with the trip. Made a quick call to let them know we were coming back and they were there to park us up. Good gps tracker on the phone so we knew how to get back to harbour and where we could anchor etc. Pretty expensive day out though. Took full insurance when we initially booked and then there was more insurance to pay when we got there, which was optional. Only used 1/4 of a tank of fuel as we went back a bit early which still worked out at almost 50 euros to fill. Great wee day just wish the sea had been calmer.
