Volos- Pilion , the land Jason and the Argonauts set out from ancient Iolkos in an Argo ship to reach ancient Colchis, take the Golden Fleece and bring it back to the region of Thessaly. Sporathes islands ,Blue waters, beautiful bays. Greece, amazing food!

Volos is about 40 nm from the Sporades islands. Once you get there many options exist, including 3 main islands and many more small-virgin ones. If you visit Alonissos you will probably see dolphins and the famous seal! The waters and clean and green-blue. You will see some jellyfish in some causes.

Nice city. Big port. So much places to visit and very good sailing destinations. Must visit for sure. Close to sporades islands and evia island . 30 minutes fron airport. Pilio mountain is great people are great skithos skopelos and alonissos marine park is close and easy to visit. So go.

Volos is very convenient place to start your sailing, we found the boat and the owner very easy. Skiathos and Skopelos are must see! The sea and the beaches are beautiful. Green islands, like no others! People very kind and helpfull. The sea is crystal, clear, full of fish. I will definitely come back.
