Description of Giuseppe's motorboat

Motorboat Primatist Abbate G46 800hp

Performance The hull of the G 46 is a variable geometry deep V-hull with a 50 degrees angle forward and closing at 22 degrees aft. Top speed as declared by the manufacture is 36 knots with the 2 x 435hp Volvo IPS600 at 3500 rpm. Cruising is 31 knots at 3200 rpm and economical cruising is 26 knots at 3000 rpm. Range is over 9 hours with economical cruising speed. She is also one of the few boat's today to have been fully constructed and projected around the IPS system. While many boats are using this efficient propulsion system, there are very few hulls projected around this concept. Positive Interior layout 3rd cabin transform feature Negative Galley only on main deck Competition Many offers in the 13-14 metres hardtop sports cruisers. If you include all hardtop coupe models available you will have a list of about 20 marques, seeing the growing trend and demand for this type of craft in this size. Start adding the plus of the G46, 3 cabins and IPS drive system and the list is reduced for 2 other boats only, and surprising both from Italy and from the Lake Como area as Bruno Abbate. Talk about liking the hard top design, innovative propulsion system and plenty of berths inside. The Airon Marine 4300 T-Top and Blu Martin 1390 Seatop are as close the competition can get with the G46. Both these models are available with the Volvo IPS, but can also be fitted in alternative with stern drives or shaft driven propulsion, unlike the G46 which is only offered with Volvo's Inboard Propulsion System. They also have the option of a two or a three cabin interior layout, but this in the G46 is standard thanks to a very smart third cabin. Conclusion Bruno Abbate Primatist G 46 Aerotop Pininfarina is a step ahead of the competition. She is one of the few fourteen metres hard top sports cruiser in the market featuring 3 cabins without giving up a full beam owners cabin. Then it features the innovative power from the IPS System by Volvo, which saves you about 40% in fuel bills, compared to a conventional shaft driven system. How about saving the environment and your pockets. The G46 also rewrites the way of planning boats for a 13/14 metre dimension and has made good mind of Volvo's highly praised system to the better use of more interior space. In fact to find a real competitor for the G 46 one has to look at bigger boats of over fifteen metres in length. Technical Data L.O.A. 14.10 metres (46.2 ft) Waterline Length. 11.03 metres Beam. 4.50 metres Draft. 1.16 metres (including propellers) Displacement. 14000 kg Cabin Height. 2.00 metres Fuel Capacity. 1200 litres Water Capacity. 450 litres. Giuseppe/ Primatist — Abbate G46 (2008) “Champagnee Three” A great ship, carefully designed, with some problems with original shipyard equipment, lack of update to 2024 and poor maintenance. To navigate it requires a lot of knowledge of engineering, mechanics and decades of nautical experience to interpret the excellent advice of Giuseppe, who knows the boat perfectly, and how to overcome the constant failures. What is evident is that these failures have already happened, because Giuseppe responds perfectly. Possibly Giuseppe is not the owner of the boat, I don't know?. if he is not, he unjustly tries to carry out a job with dignity, answering messages at all times. But the owner of the boat should rethink, make an investment for the enhancement of the boat, if he intends to continue publishing it for rent, of course. The boat has a generator of more than 6000w, but lacks a 220v inverter, enough to charge an iphone.... So in an incredibly beautiful environment you have to drive all day with a running engine that makes noise. Unacceptable! This generator supports some functions, but it requires evaluating whether one wants to cook, heat water for a shower, cool or charge service batteries. One at a time. Unacceptable! It is impossible to light more than one burner at a time, even connected to a marine at 220v, maximum one burner at a time. In the command area there is no power outlet to have the mobile/navionics charging while sailing. I did not manage to turn on the green navigation light, nor the joystick controlled reflector and the anchor chain meter counter is not working. The joystick and bow-thruster system is excellent. The autopilot is also very good. The stereo in 2024 should have bluetooth and the boat should have wifi. The boat does not have an echo sounder and an important display where depth can be visualized, something basic for a non-connoisseur of the area. The anchor does not fall only when it is released, it requires going to the bow to push it. The crapodine gear that lifts the chain is KO, and it is very difficult to raise the anchor. The boat does not have other spare anchors, to better orient a mooring or for safety. Something basic in a 46'. The kitchen equipment is incomplete, there is no pot to make pasta for 4 people, there is no grater for cheese, there are no cuisine towels or a board for cutting salami. The doors of the cabinets and the outdoor refrigerator are in terrible condition. The generator is turned on by a dedicated battery, but on our second night, we were about to cook in Cala Coticcio and the generator had no battery, it never turned on. Was the battery old? Was it failed? Wasn't it proven? Giuseppe approached Cannigione the next morning with a spare battery and bring a very good wine as a gift. I'll change the battery it in 10 minutes! In Cala Coticcio our dinner had to be changed to Buffet Froid.... At the stern of the boat there is a hose to take a shower. When using it normally, it was disconnected, overflowing a few liters of water in the engine room. I proceeded to cut off the power to the pump, entered the back of the engine room, connected it and tied it provisionally with tape, since when it was turned on, the normal water pressure disconnected it again. If I didn't make this emergency repair, I would be in trouble, because I didn't find an outlet to interrupt the flow of water to these pipes. The boat claims to have a tank of 450lts of water (for me it does not exceed 200lts), but it does not matter, because the toilets are fed by this tank (why do they not use seawater?, Something easily solvable) and the autonomy of the boat does not exceed 24h. The tank should be much bigger than 450lts! So if the ship does not periodically enter paid marinas, with a supply of drinking water, it is unfeasible to go on a cruise. When the water in the tanks runs out daily, the pumps can be blown down. I had to go into the engine room once again, hit a pump with a hammer, while they opened an interior faucet, to get water in the showers after completing the tank with water. When mooring in Bonifacio I activated the winch for seconds, this brought some electrical problem in batteries, which left us without a sliding roof, without a bathroom ladder, without garage opening, and without ironing. Giuseppe guided us to reset the batteries, and enjoy again. We returned the boat with the same Diesel as when we left and only the lid of the bow toilet broke. Cost that was paid in cash. I pay a lot of money to enjoy and it is not good to suffer from a poorly maintained boat.
