Description of Cioffi's sailboat

Sailboat Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 54 Ds 17m

THE BOAT OF YOUR DREAMS: a JEANNEAU 54 DS, 17 meters of luxury, on a cruise that combines a sailing holiday with navigation, stops for swimming in the most beautiful bays of the Ionian islands. EVERY SATURDAY EMBARKING (after 6pm) in LEFKAS , from 3 th JUNE to 15 JULY sailing to Kastos, ITHAKA,Cefalonia, ARKOUDI, Meganisi ,back to LEFKADA , disembarking on Saturday before 9 am. 15 JULY TO 22 from LEFKAS to ATHENS, a fantastic sailing adventure, visiting historical places such as NAFPAKTOS and the temple of DELPHI . You will experience the thrill of CROSSING the CORINTH CANAL visiting Aphaia temple on AEGINA island , arriving in Athens ( LAVRIO ). A safe and equipped boat for offshore navigation and at the same time comfortable and livable. Sun cushions, hydraulic gangway, dinghy with outboard to go down to the beach. TWO GUESTS CABINS (one of which is a suite), with AC, each with a bathroom with electric toilet; 1 CABIN with BUNK beds for guys over 14. PROFESSIONAL, EXPERIENCED CREW, MEDITERRANEAN KITCHEN HOTEL LEVEL SERVICE . An unforgettable journey! It is a fantastic way to relax and learn to sail, Renato will be happy to leave you the helm and teach you the perfect adjustment of the jib and mainsail! Before sunset we usually moor in a little harbour where you can try the local cuisine!🦈 SOME suggestion, boring, but useful in choosing a right boat for your holidays : we recommend comparing: ☀️ 1) LENGTH and AGE, a longer boat is safer and more stable, even faster: an extra meter greatly affects habitability, and in boats built before 2000 spaces are less exploited, they often have more problems with the electrical and hydraulic systems (ours from 2008 was completely refitted in 2022)⛵️ 2) number of BATHROOMS and CABINS: charter boats, even recent ones, often have 4 or 5 cabins and only 2 or 3 bathrooms, this means sharing bathrooms with strangers and also having less space on the deck and in the common areas (we have in 17 meters only two guest cabins and a crew cabin with en-suite bathrooms) and often, to load more people, the skipper sleep in the dinette😬 3) Water TANK capacity: here you will have 1000 LITERS available for 4/6 people, usually max. 500 liters for 8/10 people 🇬🇷 4) number of CREW people and experience: often on board you only have the skipper who as a rule deals exclusively with running the boat, guests therefore have to do the shopping for everyone (on Saturday afternoon the global one, the other days of what is missing) then stow it on board and finally take turns preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, then washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean; on the beds you will find the sheets and you have to make them! Have you ever tried to cook (or even just make sandwiches) at sea for 6 or 8 people? ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO ALL THIS IN YOUR ONLY HOLIDAY?🌞 Our hostess Luciana, every morning prepare a healthy breakfast and ,when we stop in a gulf for swimming , a Mediterranean lunch with fresh products, and 1 or 2evening’s candlelight DINNER on a quiet bay. 🪷🍋 Furthermore, during mooring or anchoring maneuvers, some of you must help the skipper and may seem can be stressful and dangerous, especially if the skipper does not have great experience (sometimes the charter companies send boys who do not speak languages, they don't know the boat or the places)😳 5) EQUIPMENT on board: toilets, few boats (including ours) have electric toilets, where you just need to press a button like at home, most have manual toilets, complicated and not very pleasant to use (you have to pump from a lever visually checking that everything is coming out, then move a lever and let the water enter, always looking into the cup😬 GANGWAY TO DOWN : only very few boats have a hydraulic gangway, sturdy and wide, with a handrail, which comes out or comes in with a button, the others have rickety and precarious wooden tables where you can show off your tightrope skills. 😅 Other rare equipment (that we have), the current GENERATOR, which allows you to have cold fridges, cell. and charged batteries, Electric WINCHES to control the sails, AIR CONDITIONING, with separate controls in the cabins so you don't have to suffer from the heat in the port.🌞 6) various kitchen equipment, plates and glasses, tablecloths: you will never see plastic plates, glasses and tablecloths, comfortable sunbathing CUSHIONS and custom-made shading AWNINGS from us … in short, look at the other boats and YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS WORTH SPENDING SOMETHING EXTRA TO HAVE A REAL HOLIDAY ON A BOAT …
