We loved our time on Abuela and can recommend anyone to take her out for a spin - you'll have a great time! Oliver (and his wife!) are amazing owners and are doing everything in their power to make you enjoy your stay, even during your period on the boat by answering any questions you may have. The proposed trips in Oliver's overview are very detailed, well worth following up and for us a great help in determining where to go and what to do. The boat is in great shape for it's age - it is obvious this is way more then 'just' a charter for the owners. It is clear from anything that they *love* their boat and treat it as such.
A wonderful experience, excellent service from booking to handover. I'd be happy to do it again!
Oliver and Natalie are wonderful landlords. From the beginning, the communication was very pleasant, open and warm in the chat, by phone and up until the day of the ship briefing on site. The skipper training with the two of them was very detailed, well explained and well prepared. It couldn't be better. We then started our wonderful vacation with a very good feeling. Any questions we had were answered immediately. The Abuela is a beautiful ship with impressive equipment. Nothing was missing, the high-quality coffee machine and the air fryer are a hit. Oliver's support in planning the route was also really great, his elaborately designed trip book is very helpful. We had a fantastic time in NL and will definitely repeat this type of vacation on Oliver and Natalie's ship. Highly recommended!
It was a wonderful weekend on Oliver's yacht. We were warmly welcomed by Oliver and his brother. The two of them took plenty of time to explain everything to us and to give us instructions on how to use the boat. There was a sweet welcome basket on the kitchen table with champagne and a fruit plate with chocolate, so we were able to start off in an even better mood. The tour suggestions were helpful in planning the days in advance. Anchoring and spending the night in the lake worked wonderfully after we had been properly instructed. We had seven people on the boat, so we converted the dining couch in the kitchen into a bed, which worked very well and was also comfortable. Two people could sleep well in here with enough space. The morning hours on the boat were enchanting. The moorings in Thorn and the surrounding area seemed a bit crowded from a distance, but that was no problem for us. We then explored the city by car and it is truly one of the most beautiful cities (quite unexpectedly) that we have seen in Holland. The boat had all the utensils you needed. There was enough different dishes and pots. We were also surprised by the storage space under the floor. Very practical! The fridge was new and had a lot of space in it1. The return of the boat went smoothly and as agreed with Oliver. We were completely satisfied. With 7 people - "a little cautious with the water usage" we managed two nights including showers for everyone. The only small drawback for me was that the air in the aft room was a bit strange, perhaps it was from a waste water tank - it's probably because of my sensitive nose. But no one else mentioned it or was bothered by it. Thanks Oliver, we'll definitely be back ;)
It was a very nice stay on the Abuela. The communication with Oliver was great, you could turn to him for any kind of questions. Great boat, great owners ? Even with 8 adult men there was enough space. I can only recommend it ? Thank you Oliver
