Description of Anna 's catamaran
Catamaran Lagoon 39 12m
A day trip on a catamaran will take you to the nine neighbouring Daymaniyat Islands, a protected marine nature reserve. A paradise for underwater explorers, they feature walls, drop-offs, submerged reefs, swim-throughs and caves. Whilst is not permitted to step onto the Daymaniyat Islands at any time between May and October (they become a nesting ground for turtles and local wildlife), anchoring offshore to take a swim is permitted year-round. Shallow coral reefs teem with over 1100 different species at each of the Daymaniyat’s 24 dive sites, hosting a wealth of sea life that’s unparalleled in the region. With so much of the incredible marine life close to the water’s surface, snorkelling at the large unspoiled reefs is a particularly rewarding experience. On the day, you meet at the marina at 9am, and depart after a short introduction and safety briefing. Following a leisurely 3-hour sail to the Daymaniyat Islands nature reserve, you will arrive around midday, ensuring you have plenty of time to swim, snorkel, paddle board and explore this stunning set of islands before returning to Al Mouj Marina. The boat captain and crew are Omani and can give you great insights into the culture and local delights. There is no issue with wearing bikinis and swimming costumes once you are out of the marina. The trip is self catered, but there is a fridge, freezer and cool box on board, along with an oven and hob for all your catering needs.
