Extremely Disappointing Catamaran Experience - Poor Service and Communication Our recent catamaran vacation was a major disappointment, marred by poor communication, subpar boat conditions, and an overall lack of professionalism. **1. Lack of Clear Communication:** From the start, the charter agency failed to communicate crucial details. We were shocked to find out only the last day that we had to return to port the day before the check-out after lunch, effectively losing an entire day of sailing. This information was not transparently conveyed beforehand. **2. Poor Boat Conditions:** The catamaran was in disappointing condition. It was dirty, the air conditioning was inadequate, and some of the fans were not even functional, which made our time onboard uncomfortable, especially during the hot days. **3. Limited Tender Use:** The tender was put in the water only twice during the trip, severely limiting our ability to explore. We were forced to pay for a taxi boat in Hvar as we couldn't use the tender to return to the catamaran in the evening. Additionally, we were unable to use it to access smaller coves, which was one of the main reasons we chose this type of vacation. **4. Shared Bathrooms:** We were unpleasantly surprised to learn that the bathrooms had to be shared with the hostess and skipper. This was never communicated to us prior to the trip, leading to discomfort and inconvenience throughout our stay. **5. Unfair Dining Costs:** It was not made clear that we would be responsible for paying €35 per person for the skipper's and hostess's dinners each night, even when we stayed on the boat. To make matters worse, on one occasion, they chose to dine out while we were still on the boat, and we had to cover their €70 bill despite the boat being stocked with food. **6. Unusable Equipment:** The SUP provided was missing its fin, rendering it practically unusable. This was a significant letdown as we had planned to enjoy paddleboarding during the trip. **7. Hostess Issues:** The hostess took it upon herself to do a grocery run without consulting us, purchasing expensive items that we did not want. We ended up rejecting her purchases, doing the shopping ourselves, and spending half as much. Despite being there to assist, she never prepared a complete meal. On the evening of August 15th, she watched as we cooked and even expected to be served. The boat remained filthy throughout the trip. **8. Unfriendly Skipper:** The skipper was rigid and unapproachable throughout the journey. To top it off, he left without even saying goodbye, which left us with a bitter end to an already disappointing experience. In summary, this was not the relaxing and enjoyable experience we had hoped for. The lack of transparency, poor service, and unsatisfactory conditions made this vacation a frustrating and disappointing one. We would not recommend this charter to anyone.
