Very good trip with an excellent skipper. Really recommend the boat in terms of value for money!
Great full day experience!
Will book with you again for sure! The experience in a tasting has been too positive!
If we were to book a catamaran again we would choose another owner. We initially wanted to book Nautitech 46 Fly (2017), but they told us it would not be available and offered us another smaller catamaran with skipper for a similar price. At first we thought Marc was going to be our skipper, but in the end our skipper was Gorka, a very attentive and helpful guy at all times. Unfortunately Fountaine Pajot (the catamaran we finally booked) had a problem with the left engine when setting out. It was damaged by a rope that got wrapped around the propeller. Our personal opinion is that normally the skipper should have a companion to help him with the unmooring and mooring tasks, in this case he did not have one. We were offered to do it another day, or wait 1 hour and do the trip on another catamaran (Nautitech 46 Fly (2017)) just the one we wanted to book at the beginning and it was not available. We were told that they needed an hour to prepare it and possibly it would not have electricity, which would mean no music or a fridge (according to what they had initially told us). We agreed to wait an hour and make the trip without electricity since we were all coming from quite far away, and it was already the middle of September. The trip would be much less pleasant and it would be much colder to do it in autumn instead of in the last weeks of summer. After waiting an hour, they insisted again that we cancel the reservation and the atmosphere and the treatment of the owner and Gorka's colleagues towards Gorka was quite uncomfortable to observe. In the end the wait was almost 2 hours because they tried to get the catamaran to have electricity, without success. At this point we were told that the catamaran, as it did not have electricity, would not have a functioning bathroom for defecation but would have one for peeing. We told them that we did not care about going out sailing without electricity, we simply wanted a day on the catamaran with a skipper and we did not think it was crazy to have electricity as long as we could pee. To our surprise, we found that the Nautitech 46 Fly catamaran (2017) was much larger than the one we were offered for a very similar price. It was also quite dirty, many of the services were not available, the beds could not be used, there was no water and the maintenance of the facilities seems low. We were told that in the end it took two hours to get it ready because they wanted to leave it in good condition for us, and they never got around to mentioning all the functions that the catamaran would not have available. We found that the bathrooms were not even good for peeing because they did not empty the toilets when there was no light. We were given a discount equivalent to the fees for hiring a skipper. Honestly, a totally insufficient discount after having made the trip since the catamaran did not have any of the amenities mentioned and we left after 13h instead of at 10h. At least Gorka was quite kind to us and helped us and tried to make the trip as comfortable as possible. In summary, the experience was not pleasant for the following reasons: 1. Ordering a Nautitech 46 Fly (2017) and receiving an offer for a very similar price for another much smaller catamaran. 2. Uncomfortable treatment by the owner with the hired skipper when the engine of the rented catamaran breaks down. 3. Insistence on cancelling the service and changing it for another day. 4. Catamaran without the services it offers and non-existent cleaning. 5. Totally insufficient compensation.
Great day and the boss helped us with everything
Boat that has aged a lot. Responsive and efficient team. Super skipper.
The Lipari 41 is a good boat, which works well, and which corresponded well to our expectations, on paper. However, we have encountered many problems which have not, or barely, been taken into account. The handling of the boat was late, very, quick, superficial, and very incomplete. However, we observed, with Marc, without a solution on his part: 1/ An instrument (anemometer, weather vane) which does not work but which must be left on, and whose alarm will beep regularly during navigation. You will have to press a button to stop this alarm each time, without being able to turn it off other than by turning off all the navigation instruments. 2/ An autopilot screen that is unreadable because it is completely scratched. 3/ The starboard toilet pump is seizing, very difficult to operate, even though it is the only toilet connected to a black water tank, and therefore usable at anchor. 4/ Furthermore, being 8 crew members planned, then 7 on board, I had asked to have 2, or even 1, additional chairs for meals, taking into account the shape of the cockpit table and that of the saloon. At the last moment we learn that there won't be any!! 5/ There were only 4 blankets on board, even though we occupied all 6 cabins. One of their employees finally lent us a terry towel as a replacement. Very useful because it was 18° during the day during this very rainy week, and therefore much less at night. But more serious because it concerns security, we will realize as soon as we leave that: 6/ There is no marine chart on board, and no GPS at the helm, only in the saloon but which does not indicate authorized or prohibited anchorage areas. This GPS regularly emits a bird noise that we could not stop other than by turning off the GPS. Luckily we had a PC. 7/ The anchor light does not work, but we never go to ports at night. 8/ Switching on the starboard engine does not work at first; you have to insist, tickle, etc., for several minutes so that contact is finally made and the starboard engine can be started. 9/ The front flange of the tender has a leak and needs to be reinflated every day. And finally, regarding comfort on board: 10/ The front port cabin door has swollen and can no longer be closed. 11/ The connecting door between the starboard forward cabin and the forward point needs to be wedged because there is a hole in place of the clasp, 12/ The large upper porthole above the starboard forward cabin berth is leaking in 2 places, 13/ There is only one coffee maker (Italian) 2 cups for a boat with 8 beds!! 14/ There is no bucket or broom on board, so it is impossible to clean the deck and the cockpit during the cruise. During the handling, when we highlighted to Marc the problems and malfunctions already identified, he told us that there would be no compensation on his part, other than his smile... He asked us, however, to report on our return all the problems encountered, which we did with Ian, Marc not being present. Ian took a photo of the list of problems I had written down, but I haven't heard anything since. Marc had told us that the previous tenants (German) had left the boat in a deplorable state, and that he had had to spend a lot of time cleaning it, hence the delay in taking over. This is perhaps explained by what we noticed ourselves after our departure, including the absence of a bucket and broom to keep the boat clean, the toilet pump which drains poorly, etc. Marc is undoubtedly a nice guy, but very unprofessional, not knowing how to operate certain equipment for us, or even putting the autopilot screen in French despite our request, which we managed to do after departure. This represents a lot of problems and inconveniences which have disrupted our traditional June sailing week which we have been practicing for over 35 years. It was a first experience with Click&Boat which does not encourage us to renew, unlike the platforms to which we are accustomed, Filovent, Dream Yacht, Vent de mer, or private rental companies, with whom we have never had so many problems, and who knew how to do what was necessary or a commercial gesture to repair the inconveniences when there had been any. I have photos at your disposal attesting to these problems; do not hesitate to ask me.
Marcos received us with great kindness and explained the boat perfectly. The next time I rent I will probably do it with them and I would like Marcos to be the person to deliver and pick up the boat.
We had a 10 experience! Marc was always very attentive and helped us with everything we needed. He recommended a route and coves in which to anchor/stop and all the recommendations were very accurate. We will repeat for sure!
Very friendly at all times and day more willing to make the experience unforgettable. 100% recommendable
