Marc was super responsive and helpful in getting everything set up! They even accommodated a specific pick up location upon request :) The captan was so sweet and easy to be around. He let us do our thing but was good vibes!
Thanks to Brava Charter for the welcome, communication, transparency and honesty they showed regarding the rental of Gala. Despite the apparent state of wear of the boat, we had no (bad) surprises. They were present and available throughout our week, so we were able to fully enjoy Gala. See you soon and thank you
Marc and Yan were very attentive throughout the week. Always available to give advice. The boat is very comfortable and easy to sail (self-tacking jib). The natural reserves of the cape creus, the many coves, Cadaques, the translucent and warm water... make this destination very pleasant.
All good.
A perfect day thanks to mark iker and alba
The team there is awesome. Thank you to both Marc and Alba who were very kind and very helpful. The boat is running well. You should know that the headsail is self-tacking. This boat comes from a buyout from DREAN YACHT at the start of the season. It was recovered "as is" by Brava Charter. NB: in July 2023, the boat is not equipped for the high seas. Only coastal. Regarding the maintenance and the general condition of the boat, there is a lot to improve. - The fridge: whatever the setting, it frosts. It must therefore be stopped regularly for 1 hour then restarted for 1 hour. At night, it's more complicated. NB: this problem was known to brava Charter before our arrival and will have persisted all summer with the other tenants. - The VHF is positioned in a place where it is ABSOLUTELY not usable - Survival expired March - Mooring lines are torn/frayed - The windlass light is sometimes on or off even if the windlass is ON or OFF - Under the floors, there is a lot of water which goes up to the shelter and dirties what is placed on the ground. The bilge pump is not enough to evacuate this water. - Heading/CAP: The 0° of the helm and the 0° of the autopilot are not aligned, there is a 5° difference - The starboard toilet pump is leaking - Small details that demonstrate the low level of maintenance of the boat and the intensive use it has already undergone (8 years of rental with DREAM YACHT): * An engine ventilation grille is missing at the rear of the boat * The floors are very damaged: * The lockers in the cockpit do not have retainers on the lifelines. * The electric cable to connect to the dock is connected in the middle with a domino which is covered with adhesive tape * The rope for the boom vang is too thin and comes out of its pulley * One of the starboard cupboards in the saloon has a locking catch that no longer works * Exiting and retracting the genoa is abnormally difficult: rope to load * The bimini is torn In summary, it is a boat that is well “worn out”.
A very nice day with our children to admire Roses and its surroundings from the sea.
Marc could not offer us the chosen boat due to breakdown. He provided us with a Fountaine-Pajot catamaran for the same price. We had a wonderful weekend on this magnificent ship. Thanks to Marc for his kindness and availability. We highly recommend it!
