Il Pianosa is a wooden boat, typical of Sorrento’s shipping carpentry and woodworkers. It was built in 1947 and it was firstly used for the carriage of goods and passengers, mostly prisoners, between the island of Pianosa and Elba, in Tuscany. It was restored recently, with the goal of reviving the old boat with the original sail and features, but installing all the comforts and services for our visitors. The stern of the boat is a real living room that can accommodate a dozen people, with ample wooden deck space, seating, a cabin, and a bathroom.
