Lefkada is an island in the Ionian archipelago, located on the south of Corfu and north-east of Kefalonia. It is the island of amazing beaches, steep rocks, traditional dishes and a steady night rhythm. In addition to its magnificent and extraordinary natural beauty, the island is rich in cultural and entertainment activities. But the real pleasure is chartering a catamaran and starting a cruise around those beautiful islands. You can easily rent a catamaran on Click&boat for your greek navigation. We have a lot of choice of catamarans departing from various places in Greece. Sailing in Greece is a very famous activity, it is a "must" if you want to truly enjoy your trip. Don't worry if you don't have enough boating experience to navigate alone, the Click&boat platform allows you to filter the boats that are rented with professional skippers only, so you only need to come to enjoy the sunshine, and the sound of the waves.
After you book your dream catamaran, you can start to plan your activities. Nidri is a touristic city located in the south-east of Lefkada, in a natural harbour surrounded by lush greenery. In contrast, you have the islands of Skorpios, Skorpidi, Madhuri, Sparta, and, further, Meganisi. Fairytale Meganisi will delight you with the picturesque village of Spartohori, and its breathtaking views. You can swim in the bay, and enjoy a big lunch with nice wine prepared on your catamaran. Your next stop can be Skorpios, which is privately owned by the granddaughter of famous Greek shipping billionare Aristotle Onassis. Continue your cruise to Madourija, the island where one of the best Greek poet was born: Aristotelis Valaoritis. No matter where you decide to go, you will have the time of your life on the catamaran you will rent on Click&boat. Furthermore, the local boat owner will for sure give you great advice on the best spots to visit and activities to do in the area.
Lefkas Town is the capital and is located in the north of the island. After a big earthquake in 1953, the town was rebuilt according to old plans and today offers its visitors a picturesque backdrop. It has a modern marina that can accommodate about 600 boats and a harbour and waterfront promenade invites you for walks and strolls. Numerous restaurants and tavernas add a holiday flair to the evening atmosphere, where relaxation is pre-programmed. During the day, explore the city's pedestrian zone, which leads all the way to the central Agios Spyridon square. You can also pay a visit to the archaeological museum.
The island is very mountainous and therefore ideal for hiking enthusiasts among the catamaran charterers in Lefkada to get a little change from the swaying ship and explore nature on solid ground. Of particular interest to you might be Mount Stavrota, which rises about 1200 metres above sea level. But there are also great flat coastal walks to discover, leading to more unspoilt bays. The bay of Vassiliki is particularly popular with surfers, as this is where the wind blows permanently and most reliably.
There is still the question of the most beautiful beaches on Lefkada. Here, too, the holidaymaker will not be disappointed. Our first tip is Milos! It is a sandy beach that requires a short hike to reach. You walk along the coast from Agios Nikitas and end up at this unspoilt and undeveloped beach. Of course, it would also be a good idea to rent a catamaran on Lefkas and enjoy the sea during a day trip. Kathisma, on the other hand, is perfectly equipped for families. Bars and tavernas for plenty of choice. You can rent umbrellas and sunbeds on site. Finally, we would not like to deprive you of Egremni. This is the absolute dream beach that you should not miss during your yacht charter on Lefkas. It is reminiscent of beaches in the Caribbean and is completely undeveloped. You could reach it by a small serpentine road, which was destroyed by an earthquake in 2018, which means that it is also recommended to rent a catamaran to get here.
Like renting other kinds of boats in other destinations, the price of a catamaran charter in Lefkada depends on a few factors. It depends on what time of year you visit, how modern the boat you charter is, how many people the boat will sleep and the duration of your stay. During the low season, before April, it is possible to rent a catamaran in Lefkada for 8 people from £1,300/week. In other words, that is £163 per person/week and so only comes to around £23 per person per day! Who would have believed that you could rent a catamaran in Greece for that price? If you charter a catamaran during the summer, the high season, the same catamaran would cost you £3,656 per week. This comes down to around £457 per person/week or around £65 per person/day. The benefits of renting during the low or mid season are of course the lower prices but also the quieter streets and beaches. The weather will however not be as good and the waters may be too cold to swim in! The prices in the summer are higher and the streets busier but the sun will be shining bright and hard, the waters will be warm and you will find paradise on board your catamaran rental with Click&Boat.
In Lefkada, privately owned boats are available for hire. See other boats in the area.
