Description of Pierre's catamaran
Catamaran Fountaine Pajot Astréa 42 12m
Hello, Thank you for your interest in Wild Baleine, my Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42 (2019), located in Lavrio, just 40 minutes from Athens International Airport – actually closer than the city of Athens itself! This spacious catamaran offers: 4 double cabins, each with air conditioning, electric toilets, and private showers 2 single cabins, perfect for kids or teenagers 👉 Maximum capacity on board: 8 adults in double cabins + 2 children/teenagers in single cabins On board, you’ll enjoy a trampoline, an outdoor lounge, a sun/fly deck, and a 360° panoramic saloon with air conditioning – perfect for sunbathing, swimming in crystal-clear waters, enjoying a shaded brunch, or simply relaxing under the warm Greek sun. 💙 Wild Baleine is the ideal choice for a comfortable and unforgettable sailing holiday with family or friends. 🔹 Departure from Lavrio Lavrio is a charming coastal town, just 40 minutes from the airport. I can arrange a private taxi transfer upon request. The Olympic Marina, modern and well-equipped, is located just outside town. On our first evening, we may anchor at the stunning Cape Sounion, right beneath the Temple of Poseidon – the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset before taking the Whaly dinghy (very stable) to dine at a beachside taverna. The next morning, we’ll sail gently to a nearby island, seeking out a private anchorage to enjoy the turquoise waters and relaxed pace of island life. Alternatively, we may head to Nafplio, the beautiful former capital of Greece. ⛔️ We won’t sail to Mykonos – while it’s a well-known island, it’s far too crowded and noisy. The marina is always full and distant from town, and there’s no chance of anchoring peacefully by the beach, as bars compete for the loudest music until 5 AM. Definitely not our idea of fun. 💰 Not included in the charter price: Skipper: €210/day (VAT not included) – payable at check-in + meals & drinks (optional) Hostess / Cook: €200/day (VAT not included) – payable at check-in + meals & drinks (optional) Charter Package: €330 per booking (mandatory) (final cleaning, bed linen & towels – one set per person/week – and extra gas bottle) Extra set of bed linen/towels (optional): €80 per booking Sunday check-in (optional): €50 per booking ❗️Also not included: Food & beverages Fuel and harbor fees (except Lavrio, already included in the base price) 🕔 The boat must be back at base by Friday evening, for check-out on Saturday morning. 📞 Questions? Want to discuss your plans? Feel free to reach out! I’ll be happy to help tailor your cruise to match your expectations. Whether aboard Wild Baleine or another yacht, I wish you a wonderful blue water holiday full of sunshine, serenity, and the magic of the Greek islands.

We had a fantastic time on the boat. 4 adult couples and a fantastic captain... Good storage (let's face it.. you'll be sailing... you don't need that much)... and good storage capacity for food etc.. Spacious... Shower is a bit small for us who are larger than average.. but.. no problem ;-) Highly recommended!!

Mikael is a charter-customer, like I wish they would be more of it: Friendly, he send pictures and message from the boat while on Board, and he send thanks message afterwards. We provide a skipper: They got well together. Sure we provide a great skipper, but a great skipper is nothing without a great crew. It seems that it was the case. And that are all the recepients we all need for a great sailing holiday. All my best wishes to Mikael for futur sail.

Hello, I m french. I was born near Lyon, then studied in Paris. I leaved a few years in Hong Kong, then 25 years in Austria, before coming to Greece for sailing. Now i m moving between Greece where I sail, Austria where my kids are , and between France where i have still lot of friends and relatives. I was in business. I was General Manager of a company, that grew from 90 employees to 650 employees. Then Burnout: I changed life. Now i m taking care of my 2 catamarans in Greece: Blue Baleine a Nautitech 40 and Wild Baleine a Fountaine Pajot 42, brand new. Those 2 catamarans are just nice to sail. and nice to live on. I learn sailing with Glenans in Bretagne, with no engine, no GPS, no WC, ... just some kind of old wooden sailingboats. Grew up doing some race training between England and France, as a young adult. I rent boat with my kids, till i bought a few year ao, my own first Boat: a cruising catamaran. Lately i skipped my Fountaine Pajot from La Rochelle (F) till Athen (Gr) through Gilbraltar. 3 weeks of great adventure. I have austrian sailing licence typ IV (off shore). I m still doing some sailing course from time to time. Last training: survival at sea for off shore race. I have been in situation between France and England that can be considered as heavy. I m not looking for such situation. Even if one can handle it, it is also about the security of the crew, of the boat or of others boat. Even on a catamaran, getting out of the harbour can develop to a difficult situation. And outside at see, you can have somebody flying on the deck after a big wave, that can hurt himself with the landing on the deck. or even worth, if the landing is outside the boat. So even if I can cope with such situtation, I way prefer to avoid getting into such situation. There is lot of wind in sommer in Greece. Every body want to get out and sail. It is sometime better to stay in, and enjoy a drink in the harbour or on anchor, or do some shopping. This decision to sail or not to sail is the skipper's decision. It is not an easy one. Please respect the skipper's decision. You may have great sailing knowledge yourself. But it is also a matter of responsablility against the crew, boat, the others boat, and the next customers. Also as a general Manager, there are some decision that look easy, but carrying the responsability bring it to a different matter. At least, it should be that way. On my boat, or on others boat, I wish you a nice and smooth holidays, while sailing. Pierre
