THE HOLIDAY A holiday on a spacious and comfortable sailboat (in good standing with the navigation and safety regulations of the Spanish charter) to the Balearic Islands where you can visit Ibiza and Formentera, going as far as bays that cannot be reached from land. Ibiza at any time of the year is spectacular, but not least Formentera too, and it’s precisely for this reason that you may find yourself perplexed to decide which of the two places to visit first. Ibiza boasts a heavenly sea with a mix of spectacular colors offering great relaxation, including delicious mojitos with a local flavor and fresh sea breezes, but thanks to the splendor of its waters and its picturesque backdrops. Formentera is the ideal place for those who love transparent water for swimming, diving and snorkeling. Drop the moorings and go to the Balearics! ITINERARY Sunday: Boarding on Sunday afternoon from 6pm at the Ibiza Nautical Club, where a welcome drink will be waiting for you: a moment to get to know us all, but above all to know the boat, especially for those who have never had a holiday on a boat. You can reach the Marina from the airport with Bus nr.10 at a cost of 3.50€. In the evening, after having taken a seat in your cabin (as indicated by the skipper) and met the other members of the crew, ready to go!!! Evening in the narrow streets of the old town of Ibiza with dinner based on a local specialties. Whoever wants, will be able to wait for the parade of discos for the city. Monday: After breakfast there will be a briefing with the skipper before going, all together, to do the weekly galley (food shopping and drinks). Around noon we will be ready to maneuver to leave the mooring sailing for about 10 miles towards the natural reserve of Espalmador. This island can be reached only by boat: we will find miles of totally virgin white sand beaches, without any construction, except the Torre de Sant Guardiola; so we’ll be in an exclusive and wild place at the same time. A dip, a walk along the beautiful white and pink beach, a visit to the salt pans and we’ll enjoy the first aperitif with a beautiful sunset! Tuesday: In the morning when we wake up we’ll have our first breakfast on the boat together, surrounded by a wonderful spectacle of nature. A nice swim in the crystal clear waters and we are ready to go towards the western side of Ibiza, passing through Es Vedrà, for those who reach it for the first time it’s the magic island! We then continue towards the Puesta del Sol, an Ibiza ritual that will become one of your most incredible memories of the trip: the breathtaking sunset of Cala Comte with the Conijera island in the background, in one of the most beautiful chiringuitos while enjoying a mojito sitting on the rocks. Wednesday: Upon awakening in Cala Comte we’ll take the last swim in this bay before hoisting the sails towards Cala Tarida, Cala D’Hort and Cala Llentresca: so on to Formentera passing through the red cliffs of Porroig. In the evening we will spend the night in Illetes: the famous strip of sand of Formentera. Fine, white sand, turquoise waters, totems made up by the hippies. And a double sea, calm on one side, a real paradise on earth, and wild on the other. Aperitif on the boat under the sign of sunset to then have dinner all together... Thursday: It is already Thursday, but we want to proceed further to the south to show you one of the most suggestive bays of Formentera, going up to Cala Saona. The water here is fantastic, you can see it from the reflections on the hulls of the boats from a mile away. The soft and white sand beach offers wonderful views of Punta Pedrera and Punta Rasa, with the possibility to take some nice walks, surrounded by a verdant and silent landscape. There are also sheer cliffs under which you can go snorkeling, and it’s here that we’ll find the best mojito of the Balearics! The sunset over the coast is a sight not to be missed: the contrast between the red color of the rocks and the intense blue of the sea, together with the background view of the island of Ibiza. Friday: On Friday, we’ll leave for a sailing tour of the island of Formentera, passing through Es Caló, stopping for swimming here and there, and then anchoring in Es Pujols in the evening to go ashore and visit Formentera, for those who wish it with good live music at the Pereyra Theater, the souvenir to take home will be even more beautiful! But even discos aren’t lacking for those who want to stay up all night! Saturday: Departure in the morning after a swim from the island of Formentera and headed to the salt flats of Ibiza for a last quick lunch all togheter and then off to the marina for disembarkation (around 2pm) to visit the old town of Ibiza. During our sailing the notions of sailing will also be interesting in order to be able to steer and stay a while at the winches, otherwise what is a sailing holiday? Disembarkation is scheduled from Saturday at 6pm until Sunday morning by 8am. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Boarding and Disembarkation: boarding is scheduled from 6pm on Sunday.
