We had a wonderful time aboard the boat with friends celebrating an anniversary and birthday. The boat is in good condition and comfortable for our group of 8. The captain took us to some incredible places to snorkel. Two suggestions: The blankets layered on top of the mattress and beneath the bottom sheet made sleeping incredibly hot. We would have liked to know where the snacks and drinks were so we could access them when desired.

Renting a boat with or without a skipper

Chartering a yacht in Fiji is an amazing experience. You can either go on a bareboat charter, where you're responsible for the vessel, or you can rent with a skipper. Both options have their perks. If you go on a bareboat charter, you'll have more freedom and flexibility to explore the islands at your own pace. However, if you rent with a skipper, you'll be able to relax and enjoy the ride while someone else takes care of the boat. Whichever option you choose, you're sure to have an incredible time sailing around Fiji's stunning islands.

What boat should I rent?

A yacht charter in Fiji is the best way to explore the islands. You can charter a catamaran, sailboat, or motorboat and enjoy the clear blue waters and stunning scenery. The Fijian islands are a paradise for sailors, with gentle trade winds and sheltered anchorages.

A catamaran is a great option for a sailing vacation in Fiji. Catamarans are stable and spacious, and they have large decks that are perfect for relaxing in the sun. Sailboats are also a popular choice for chartering in Fiji. Sailboats are faster than catamarans and offer a more thrilling ride. Yachts are luxurious boats that are perfect for groups or families. Yachts have plenty of space for entertaining and come with all the amenities you need for a relaxing vacation. Motorboats are ideal for exploring the many islands of Fiji. Motorboats are fast and maneuverable, and they can get you to your destination quickly.

When is the best time to go?

There is truly no bad time to visit Fiji, as the country enjoys nearly perfect weather year-round. However, if you're looking to sail in Fiji, the best time of year to do so is between May and November. This is during Fiji's winter season when temperatures hover around a balmy 80 degrees Fahrenheit and wind speeds are at their ideal 10-15 knots.
