We had a really nice day on the Boat. It was easy to handle and very comfortable. Augustina was Perfect. She was very very friendly and nice. She explained all important things very good. The contact per phone With her was very quick and easy. Next time when we Are here, we meet from Tomas again. Thanks Augustina

Good and clean

There are a couple things not in the listing you should know. 1. The boat departs from Port St Antonio, not the area indicated on the map. 2. There is a serious restriction on how far you can go - either north or south out of the port ~40 minutes either direction. You can only pick one direction. This is clearly because gas is "included" but they severely limit how far you can go. 3. There is a 100 euro security deposit that can only be paid in cash. You get what you pay for - a few things weren't working quite right. It was a good deal and worked for us, but it is unethical to not mention these things beforehand.

I have to start by saying that Tomas gave me a good price with the gas included and that’s why I took his offer when it was around 60 eur lower than I got elsewhere. Tomas was nice and reached out the day before to explain how to find the boat in the port. That’s where my positive, or rather ok experience ends. We reached the port and saw that the boat is not the same. It’s the same model, but I really could not say the condition was the same. Later that day I saw that boat in the pictures, in real life, it looked way nicer than the one we had. I understand the owner has multiple listings, but then put the accurate pictures in the appropriate listing? Then we were met in the port by Agostina. Explaining the rules and controls in English was bit of challenge for her so she used Google translate. The rules mostly were “do not touch or use that” and “do not go there”. If I knew the rules I will state below, I would not have rented this boat: 1. Disembarking and leaving the boat was not allowed. So no dinner at one of the beaches or a toilet break for the whole day. From other boats I have seen the key is a bracelet. So you anchor and leave the boat and take the key with you. This was not allowed. Someone had to alway stay in the boat. It was only 2 of us so that did not seem very fun idea. 2. There are 2 routes possible, the North one towards Cala Salada and the South one towards Cala Comte. My idea for this was to do them both and some more in those 8 hours we were supposed to have the boat, but apparently we needed to chose only one, gas was limited. 3. Keep away from the shore. Not always realistic to anchor in deep water. Later on when I returned home I noticed price and time discrepancies in the contract. We agreed 12:30-20:30 rent for 320 eur and the contract said 12-20h for 230 eur and 100 eur cash deposit. Make your own conclusions about this. Now about some factors that made this experience suck but I cannot blame the boat owners for this 100 percent. In my opinion either a cancelling should have been done or more instructions and guidance given about navigation in the conditions we had. There was no storm or anything like that but the sea has been not the calmest. One day before we had a very bumpy boat ride with another company as passengers and it made me think that booking in advance is not a great idea. With such a weak boat motor we felt no comfort and could not fight against the sea. One wave came inside the boat. Other boat driver laughed at us when I was driving the boat and at the same time scooping water out with a cup. The patience ran out when we tried to anchor and we decided to go back to the port earlier. We had a completely different idea of how this day should have been. Instead of relaxing and seeing many beaches we just were holding on for our dear lives. Before I rent a more powerful boat next time, I will get a skipper’s license and not prebook without knowing the sea conditions :))
