Porto Rotondo
Porto Rotondo takes its name from its natural oval or ‘O’ shaped marina bay. Situated 13 km north of Olbia, Porto Rotondo is a small port with a reputation far greater than its size. It is the only port where you can disembark and find yourself at the beach in under a minute.
The low-rise town has charming motifs encrusted onto its cobble-lit streets with cosy sit-outs to chitchat and relax. Porto Rotondo is the perfect base for day escapades to the nearby beaches of Spiaggia dei Sassi and Rena Bianca. Whether you are an experienced sailor or looking for a new adventure, we have the perfect boat for your trip of a lifetime.

Renting a boat in Porto Rotondo can be a unique experience, but the costs can vary based on several factors. Here's a breakdown of the considerations that could influence the price:
• Season: Peak tourist seasons, typically summer months, will generally have higher rates compared to off-peak seasons.
• Duration: The longer you rent, the more you will pay for a boat rental.
• Type of Boat: Luxury yachts will be more expensive than smaller sailboats or motorboats. Catamarans, with their stability and space, might fall somewhere in between.
• Port or Marina Rented From: Some marinas, especially the upscale ones, may have higher docking fees.
• With or Without Skipper: Opting for a boat with a skipper can increase the cost, but it's beneficial if you're not familiar with the area or if you want a hassle-free experience.
• Extras: Additional amenities like water sports equipment (e.g., jet skis, paddleboards) or hiring a crew can add to the cost.
Average prices of our boats in Porto Rotondo:
• Yachts: from $754 per day
• Sailboats: from $238 per day
• Motorboats: from $86 per day
• Catamarans: $57 per day
When renting a boat in Porto Rotondo, the base cost covers the boat rental fee. A skipper, crew and additional equipment may be an additional cost depending on the boat, so be sure to check this with the boat owner prior to your trip.
The cost of fuel will be added at the end of your trip and will be calculated based on the type of boat you have rented and the distance you have traveled.
The ideal time to charter a boat in Porto Rotondo is between May to October when the Mediterranean climate offers favorable sailing conditions. While July and August bring warm weather and vibrant local festivities, they're also the peak tourist months, leading to crowded marinas and higher prices. For a balanced experience of good weather and fewer tourists, consider the months of May, June, September, or October.

Spend the day at Rena Bianca
Rena Bianca is unique in that 4 ponds join the Mediterranean at this point, neatly dividing the fine sand into 4 stretches of beach. The beach is also known for its pink corals. On a clear day, you can see as far out as the cliffs of Corsica, France. The beautiful beaches of Marinella and Ira are in close proximity, so you have quite a spread of beaches to hop and skip to, if you are in the mood.
Say Hello to Little Soffi and Camere
From Porto Rotondo, you can hop to the nearby islands of Nibani, Mortorio, Soffi and Camere. These islands are part of the La Maddena Archipelago but are far closer to Porto Rotondo. Soffi and Mortorio are known for their low-crystal waters and soft white sands, but another reason to visit, is to swim in the natural pools known as Soffi’s pools.
Built by Mother Nature, Soffi’s pools are filled with emerald seawater and bottomed with sandy floors. There are just so many sheltered bays off these islands that it’s a nirvana for anchorage. Besides, isn’t it always nicer to wake up in a cove than in a marina dock?
In Porto Rotondo, we highly recommend hiring a skipper. At an added extra of $192 per day, a skipper offers the advantage of local expertise, safer navigation, and the chance to uncover hidden gems in the region.
If you prepare a bareboat charter, you may require a boating license and experience depending on the type of boat, so be sure to check this prior to your trip.
In Porto Rotondo, privately owned boats are available for rental. See other boats in the area.
