Description of Nicolas's sailboat
Sailboat Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 44i 13m
At Sail In Mexico, we make sure the sails are out. If there's wind, we are sailing. No engine, no generator, just the sound of the nature. Other charter companies will make sure you tick every beach, every animal, every exotic dish. We're more about making sure you disconnect to reconnect with nothing other than your surroundings. We may spot the occasional pod of dolphins, the breach of a humpback whale, but our main goal is to emerse ourselves in the beauty of sailing. Join us for an amazing trip around Isla Espíritu Santo and beyond. We'll go where the wind blows. A cook can also be provided for an additional cost. Prices include skipper and fuel.

In 2017, I left my clockwork tube-office-pub life for an adventure in South America. Today, I captain a 45ft sailboat for Sail in Mexico. I got here because of the courageous move my brother made of buying a boat blindly back in 2018. He called me up while I was living in Buenos Aires to invite me on a journey from Acapulco into the Sea of Cortez. The experience opened up a completely new perspective. A world I never imagined getting into. I was being stimulated with so many experiences. Learning how to sail was like learning a new language. Being so close to nature was worth the challenge. Following the three month journey, I wanted to know if I had the sea legs to go down this path of becoming a full time sailor. That's when I found a chance of sailing back to Europe from the Caribbean. Those months at sea triggered a passion for the Ocean. In early 2021, I came back to the Sea of Cortez and got involved with Sea Shepherd, an NGO that has boats all over the world protecting marine wildlife. In Mexico, we worked around the clock to safeguard the vaquita refuge. I haven't left the sea ever since. The best part is that I can live from this now. I get a chance to pay it forward. To expose our guests to new perspectives. That's why every trip I do never gets old. Needless to say, the beauty of the Sea of Cortez makes the job easy.
