We paid extra for the AC unit and asked the representative if there was a generator to power it and we were told yes. However, the next night we all woke up from the heat when shore power was cut off and realised that we could not turn on the AC because there was no generator on board and had to plan in advance to go to places with wind to make it manageable or try to find a rare instance of shore power.
