Sail Trip with Captain Jacques in Malta onboard The Battleaxe. We had the pleasure of experiencing a sailing trip with Captain Jacques in the stunning waters of Malta, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived at the marina, I knew I was in for a special day. Captain Jacques is a seasoned sailor with a wealth of knowledge about the area. His warm social personality and engaging stories made for a fantastic atmosphere. The sailboat itself was impressive—well-maintained. Equipped with all the necessary safety features, it allowed us to enjoy our time on the water without any worries. As we departed from the marina, the thrill of setting sail immediately filled the air. Captain Jacques took the time to explain the basics of sailing, which was a nice touch for us as new to the experience for spouse and daughter. We cruised through the Maltese waters, navigating past beautiful coastal landscapes and historic sites. The sight of the stunning cliffs and hidden coves around the Maltese coastline was simply breathtaking. We anchored in a magic spot for a swim at a lovely bay. The vibrant turquoise waters were irresistible, and we spent time swimming, snorkeling, supping and exploring the area. Captain Jacques also shared insights about the local marine life and history of Malta, making the trip both educational and enjoyable. Overall, my sail trip with Captain Jacques in Malta was a highlight of my trip. The combination of breathtaking scenery, expert sailing, and warm hospitality created an unforgettable experience. Whether you're an experienced sailor or a first-timer, I highly recommend spending time on the water with Captain Jacques. We had a really wonderful day with Jacques. As the day was a present for my husband's birthday, I had expressed a few wishes in advance, which he completed wonderfully. He also answered all my many questions in a super friendly and, above all, quick manner. He picked us up at the quay in the morning and showed us everything we needed to know on the boat. Then we briefly discussed the route. Here, too, he really took our wishes into account and matched them perfectly with the conditions at sea. The route that day took us along the coast towards Gozo, between Malta and Comino with a brief detour to the Blue Lagoon and then to a beautiful bay on Gozo for a swim and lunch. For those who like snorkeling, he has everything on board and also 2 SUPs. The lunch he prepared was simple but so delicious. After a long break, we sailed comfortably and relaxed back along the coast to Manoel Island. The day was simply absolutly perfect. I can only recommend spending the day with Jacques on his boat to anyone who wants to spend a wonderful day at sea, learn a lot about the country and its people and, above all, see a lot of the islands. There is certainly no better skipper for this. We will definitely book another day on his boat with Jacques on our next visit.

I had a very nice end of the day. Jacques is very professional and a very pleasant person. He can also be a great teacher and happily transmits his passion for sailing. We had the absolute best day with Jacques on his boat from my Friday birthday!! He was so much fun and knowledgeable and took us to the best swim spots. He also booked us a beautiful place for lunch in Gozo which was so handy. Could not recommend Jacques and his boat more, so sad that the day is over. Hope we can all come back again one day!!
We chartered Jacques boat as a birthday treat for our daughter, with family members. We all had a great day exploring Malta from the sea. Jacques shared with us history of Malta and was able to answer questions we had. He recommended areas to visit that were less crowded of tourists which we really appreciated. As a result we saw some beautiful areas and things. It was clear that Jacques is very experienced in sailing and enjoys it very much. We would highly recommend chartering Jacques boat for a relaxing, fun day in Malta!
Jacques was fantastic and the boat is very comfortable. We had a great day on our honeymoon, exploring the coves of Gozo and swimming around Comino. Jacques was very helpful and respectful. Highly recommend his boat.

Jacques was amazing!! He is a very knowledgeable sailor and he is also very kind, funny, and caring. We spent the entire day on the boat and had an amazing time. We had a great experience with Jacq and the sailing boat was wonderful. We enjoyed the snorkeling gear and paddle boards. We did a bbq on the boat and he had plates, utensils, and a table for us. Jacq also explained to us how the sailing boat works and showed us some sailing tricks. I would recommend this to everyone!!
Jacques was an amazing host for our boat trip. He was so accommodating and helpful when we were having trouble finding the harbour. The boat was clean and very well maintained. Nothing was too much trouble and if I am ever in Malta again I wouldn't hesitate to book this trip again! 10/10 service!

Jacques was the consummate host and captain, provided all that we need to enjoy the water safely, he let us get hands on on the boat when we wanted to, and managed every request for us. We were celebrating my partner’s 30th birthday and we had a ball. We were five people but the boat can fit many more so we had plenty of room, and we made a simple pasta lunch on board too. Thanks Jacques! Highly recommend Jacques and his boat for anyone wanting a truly private experience. Don’t hesitate and book with Jacques.
We had such a fantastic day with Jacques! He picked us up from our hotel and we spent the whole day sailing in style. He was very attentive and took us too all the best spots. We used the paddle boards & snorkels which was a really nice touch! He also recommended a fabulous restaurant for lunch where he booked and organise bus for us to get there! All in all a fantastic day, we couldn’t recommend him enough. Thanks jacque!

Jacques was extremely welcoming, easy going, and hospitable. Which gave us an amazing day on the boat seeing a lot of beautiful sights, with a very good lunch recommendation.
My friends and I booked Jacques 2 days before and he was very accommodating, patient, and answered all our queries and concerns especially about the weather. Boat was fully equipped, from utensils, snorkels, paddle board, he has everything you need. He’s very nice and even brought us to a stunning place with crystal water where we can swim and less crowded. We really had a great time and definitely the highlight of our malta trip! We had such a great time and would definitely charter this boat again. It was very affordable and the itinerary was set to what we wanted to do. He was even able to flex our plans when the weather was not cooperating and pick us up in a better spot. Only thing that needs to be improved is communication when it comes to where to meet and park before departing.
Jacques was the perfect host and made our day super special. Nothing was too much trouble and he and we genuinely enjoyed each others company. The day took in everything we could have wanted and Jacques went the extra mile to make sure we all enjoyed the day. We left feeling that we had made a friend.
Jacques was an amazing driver and super friendly with us all. We were 11 people, and everything was just great. The comfort on the boat, Jacques ability to always help, appliances in the boat like the grill, paddleboards, snorkeling equipment, speaker….everything!! So thank you Jacques, would recommend an experience like this with my eyes closed!

Jacques was great. Very flexible about the itinerary, responsive with communication, safety oriented and professional. Unfortunately, we had a mechanical issue with the boat and had to cut our trip short. (The issue was ultimately attributed to dirt in the fuel.) On a sail boat, not the end of the world except there were zero winds that day and it was close to dark. While we were disappointed about the event, we were extremely satisfied with the way it was handled. Very professional and personal response...thank you!
