Boat rental in Oslo · Bavaria — Bavaria Cruiser 46 (2005)
Description of Steinar's sailboat
Sailboat Bavaria Bavaria Cruiser 46 15m
The boat is a Bavaria 46 Cruiser from 2005. It oozes German quality, is safe, stable, and with a draft that allows you to get into most ports. It has all the comfort you need, and a little more. There are 4 spacious cabins, two bathrooms, and plenty of room for 6 - 8 people. The boat has roll genoa and roll main sail which makes it easy to adjust sailing depending on conditions. It is not a "racing" boat, but made more for comfort. At the same time, it sails well enough so you will not be last boat in port. It has all the required safety equipment (new spring 2020). EPIRB, AIS SART, liferafts, automatic fire extingusher in engine room, lifewests etc etc. I make weekly cruices / trips that include sailing, navigation training, seamanship, and always a fantastic scenery. We sail whenever we can, either along the coast, far out in the open sea, or inside the fjords, everything depending on the weather, and what you want to experience. Sailing trips on the Westcoast of Norway are more than just sailing. There is beautiful scenery, rich bird life, charming little places. The port of Oslo is reached by domestic or internasjonal flights, or train / bus. In additionn to the rental of the boat there will be expenses for food, fuel and harbour fees, shared equally among all onboard.

We passed a very pleasant week on board the Hunt II sailing boat. Steinar is a very experienced skipper with a broad knowledge on sailing, ships, history and the northern regions. Steinar was flexiblel to organize the trip according to our expectations and travel needs. We always felt safe and in good hands.
I enjoyed very much the company of Lorenz and his partner. They were dedicated sailors, was interested in all aspects of safe Boating, including navigation, handling the sails, berthing etc etc.. They are welcome Back another time !
We had a wonderful week on board the Hunt 2. We were given a friendly welcome from the start and immediately felt at home. It was always good and uncomplicated. Steinar took all of our wishes into account and chose a really nice route and adapted it to the weather. All of the ports we visited were fantastic. Steinar is a very open-minded and experienced skipper who is happy to pass on his knowledge and can teach you a lot if you are interested. We also had the opportunity to help out and take over the steering the whole time. Steinar also knows the area very well and can tell many stories and anecdotes. The boat is more spacious than expected and ideal for 4 guests (we were 2 couples). All of the important items are on board, especially the kitchen is well equipped. Dear Steinar, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again for this wonderful week. We learned a lot and took a lot with us. Even though the weather was sometimes shity shity, it was good, no it was perfect ;) Best wishes, Raffael, Max, Vroni and Anna
I enjoyed very much the company of Anna («Foni») and her friends. We sailed from just north of Copenhagen / Dennark, to just South of Oslo / Norway. A total of 250nm, in a combination of open water and costal sailing. Despite little sailing experience they learned fast, had no problem to understand instructions / advice given.. And they were activly participating throughout in sailing and boat handling. They were social and inclusive! They are more than welcome back !
I highly recommend sailing with Steinar on Hunt II Steinar is truly an excellent skipper, very professional, competent, reliable and attentive, knowing his boat and the navigation area perfectly. Hunt II is a very good boat, very comfortable and perfectly equipped for sailing in Norway and more widely in the north, both inshore and offshore/open sea.
I had the pleasure to have Yann, his wife and 4 friends onboard for 2 weeks. It was an very pleasant experience. They were skilled sailors, friendly, inclusively, social and fun. They treated me, and the boat very well. Highly recommended to owners and skippers.
