Stockholm
Stockholm, the captivating capital of Sweden, is not only renowned for its rich history and stunning architecture, but also for its vibrant archipelago that offers countless yachting adventures.
Your first stop whilst exploring the Stockholm Archipelago is the tiny island of Fjäderholmarna, just 20 minutes away from the Swedish capital by boat. Here, you can dock our boat and enjoy a visit to a ‘Krog’, a local pub that serves traditional Swedish food. You can also visit the island’s chocolate factory to taste one of the most delicious pralines in the world.
If you are a fan of camping, take a trip to Island Lodge, home to a luxury campsite in a scenic location. Like most other islands in the Stockholm archipelago, it combines rugged beauty and beautiful beaches. It also boasts a vibrant nightlife, with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.
With Click&Boat you will find a wide range of boats to rent in Stockholm, from speedy motorboats to classy sailboats. Whether you are an experienced sailor or looking for a new adventure, we can help you find the perfect fit for your trip.
Setting out from Stockholm to explore its archipelago? Picking the right boat is key. If you enjoy the sailing journey as much as the destinations, a sailing boat is the way to go.
If you have a little less time on your hands or want to cover more destinations during your trip, a motorboat is the best choice for you. With a motorboat, you can quickly get out into the archipelago and travel between different destinations.
For a truly luxurious experience, we recommend a yacht charter or a catamaran. This way, you can experience the beautiful landscape in full comfort and style with everything you need from bathrooms and cabins to kitchen facilities.

The ideal time to charter a boat in Stockholm is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is warmest and sailing conditions are most favorable. These months also offer longer daylight hours, perfect for exploring the archipelago.
However, if you're interested in local festivities, the midsummer celebrations in late June are a must-experience. While summer is the peak season with more tourists and potentially higher rental rates, late spring (May) and early autumn (September) provide delightful sailing conditions with fewer crowds. Always consider both the weather and the type of experience you seek when planning your trip.
When you charter a yacht in Stockholm, there are several ports from which you can pick up your boat. The most centrally located marina is Strandvägens hamn, located in the south of Östermalm.
The majority of our boats are in Gåshaga Marina which is located on Lidingö, just west of the city centre. Situated just south of Lidingö lies Djurgårdshamnen, home to an additional selection of our boats. We also have a number of vessels located in harbors close to Stockholm, such as Vaxholm and Nacka.
Vaxholm
If you're out for a day trip by boat or looking for a good first stop, Vaxholm is not too far from Stockholm's harbors. Vaxholm is an idyllic coastal community with well-preserved turn-of-the-century houses where you'll find many cosy cafés, bars, shops and restaurants.
For the history buff, there's also Vaxholm Fortress, which once protected Stockholm from attacks from the sea, but is now a museum and Bed & Breakfast.
Sandhamn
If you're renting a boat for a bit longer, Sandhamn is highly recommended! There is always plenty to do in the coastal town. In addition to three sandy beaches, the town also offers tennis, mini golf, kite surfing and spa facilities. However, if you're looking for a quieter nature experience, the island's pine forest and cliffs are also just a stone's throw away.
Arholma
Little further up the archipelago is Arholma. Despite its modest size, Arholma also has a lot to offer. Located in the northern part of the archipelago, the island is partly a nature reserve with nice paths and cycle paths, through which you can easily reach beautiful beaches and bathing cliffs. For those who like to dance, there is also a dance studio on the island that offers dance classes.
Fjärdlång
Little further out in the archipelago is Fjärdlång, an island for true nature lovers with a wealth of wildlife. For the bathing enthusiast, you can also find fine bathing cliffs all along the island and from the mountain Tysta Klint you have a full view of the southern archipelago.
Do you not have the license required for the boat you want to rent? Or would you prefer someone else to be at the helm during your boat trip? With Click&Boat, it's a problem that can be easily solved as we offer skipped rentals on many of our boats.
When you rent a boat with a skipper, you can completely relax and focus on spending time with family and friends as the skippers are in full control of the boat's manoeuvring and navigation. As the skippers are often from the local area, they will also usually have great tips on the best places to visit during your boating holiday.
In Stockholm, privately owned boats are available for rental. See other boats in the area.
