Electric Quiet Boat for 4-10 People, Just 5 Minutes from the Canals ATTENTION, PLEASE MESSAGE FIRST, NO DIRECT BOOKINGS Because the calendar on the site only shows availability per day, not per hour, it might show the boat as available even if it's only free for part of the day. Most people rent the boat for 3 hours: that’s enough for a full tour of the canals. Prices (I will adjust upon reservation): 2 hours: €67 3 hours: €84 4 hours: €98 5 hours: €110 6 hours: €120 8-14 hours (whole day): €150 (battery change needed: 5-8 hours sailing time per battery) Upon arrival, I will be at the boat location with a clean boat, a full battery, and a boat ready to depart. THE BOAT The location is ideal: the boat is situated on the west side of the Vaartsche Rijn, near Jutfaseweg 30, close to Café 'Ons Honk' and 'Cobus'. It's just a 5-minute ride to the canals. A round trip of the canals/singels takes about 1 hour and 40 to 50 minutes, so 2 hours is plenty of time. A trip to Amelisweerd takes 3-4 hours round trip. On Sundays, parking is free, and there is a safe place to secure your bicycles just 20 meters away. Additionally, there's an Albert Heijn supermarket on Vondellaan and a Domino's on Rijnlaan, both within a 100-meter walk from the boat, in case you want to bring food or drinks. The boat is super quiet (electric) and comfortable thanks to the cushions, making it ideal for 4-10 people. Each bench can easily seat 5 people. While 11 or 12 people can fit as well, it will be a bit cramped. This is fine for students on a budget, but for those who need back support, a larger boat is recommended. The 24V Minn Kota whisper motor with 85 lbs of thrust provides a maximum speed of 5 km/h. It’s not super fast, but it is safe and not annoyingly slow. INCLUDED Bluetooth speaker with power bank Navigation maps (Canals, city center, and Amelisweerd) Cushions Charged battery (8 hours of continuous sailing time; spare battery available for a total of up to 14 hours) Instructions (English/Dutch) Ropes for mooring Trash bags Top light for night sailing (canals/city center only) Longer trips (4+ hours) can often be arranged at a discounted rate, especially on weekdays. Routes A round trip of the singels/canals takes about 2 hours. Mooring is possible in many places except the Oudegracht, thanks to the ropes and pin (e.g., Lepelenburg, De Munt, Op Zuid, Weerdsluis). To Amelisweerd (Pancake House) takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes one way (2 hours and 40 minutes round trip). If you want to picnic there, 4 or 5 hours is recommended. To De Munt and back takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. To Op Zuid / Triton / Orca takes about 15-20 minutes. Feel free to send a message if you have any questions or are interested. This boat was such a perfect last minute find, I was able to book the night before in a perfect timeslot for 6 people at a very reasonable price. The location was perfect for a short scenic tour down the oudegracht. Highly recommend.

Thomas was great, made sure we had everything and even though the previous renters were delayed, he solved it as best as possible. Seeing the city at night from the water was something else, would highly recommend and hope to rent from Thomas again sometime :)

Great boat, well located close to the historic city center of Utrecht and nature (Kromme Rijn). Boat was clean except for the floor that could have been cleaner. Furthermore, the helmsman's chair has little legroom. But these are details and the overall experience was excellent!
Something went wrong with the reservation but that was resolved well. We had a great time sailing on this boat. Cushions, table, box and you could even charge your phone! Sailing routes included. We will book this boat again next year!
Nice boat to sail with for a while! It is not super big, but certainly sufficient for 4-6 people. Also electric, so sails pleasantly/quietly.

great contact and reception, boat was smaller than it seems in the picture, big enough for 3-4 pax. we came back a bit later, due to bad luck on the way, but Thomas didn't make a big deal of it.

Nixce experience
Thomas responds quickly and correctly. Nice trip through the canals of the city center of Utrecht. Due to a defect, the boat's engine could not sail in reverse and only on 1 setting. He will fix this ASAP. You can rent Thomas' boat with peace of mind!

Had a nice boat trip, but it is certainly not an 8 person sloop, more like 4-5 people. The whole of Utrecht was watching us almost make water with 8 big guys.
